Lost Ark January Update: Tier 3, New Regions, more

by | Last updated Feb 1, 2024

The Lost Ark January Update is finally here! After weeks of waiting, we’ve finally received what could be the last major update pre-launch. This update highlights a selection of new things, revealing what kind of content we’ll get at launch, new regions, and much more.

Tier 3 Available on Lost Ark Launch

This is perhaps the biggest news of the Lost Ark January update. Now we know which tier the game will be starting at and, as it turns out, we’ll be diving straight to the end game at launch. It was previously assumed we would start at Tier 1, so this is a pretty big change.

We’re set to see more dungeons and raids, all of the games existing features, a full range skill points, and more. This means that there will be a ton of content to play through and once you hit 50, you’ll have barely scratched the surface of the game.

New Regions Added

Alongside tier 3, we’re also getting all the newest regions of Lost Ark added to the game. This means Yorn, Feiton, and Punika will all be in the game, providing a ton of exciting new content, as well as very unique islands to visit.

One of the most important reasons to visit all these islands will be to unlock all possible skill points, although there’s also a ton of cool new content to explore! This includes new quests, bosses, dungeons, and more. Again, there’s going to be a lot to do once you reach level 50.

Character Customization and Names

Last but not least, we have some details about character customization and names. For names, you can’t use the following: special characters, capitalized letters (other than the first letter), and spaces. Additionally, you should avoid making characters just to reserve names, as names will be bound even after a character is deleted and will only become available after a manual reset.

That’s all from the Lost Ark January update. There’s a ton of great new information and some interesting new changes coming to Lost Ark for the western launch. Now that we know some of the details, all that’s left to do is wait for February and launch!
